Pumpkin Painting - October  18

Join us for pumpkin painting and carving on October 18th, between 4 pm and 6 pm, in the courtyard on the 3rd floor.

Carved 

Stroll through a mile-long trail filled with all things pumpkins, including an illuminated forest of jack-o’-lanterns, during Descanso Gardens’ annual Carved. For three weeks this fall (Oct 4–30), the event lines a loop of the botanical garden with pumpkins in all sorts of forms: as a sea monster rising from a pond in thick clusters on the ground and cobbled together into a house.

LUMINEX

The Future Of Art

When museums were starting to open their doors again in 2021, LUMINEX decided to meet the moment and take art outside: The one-night-only event turned buildings along five blocks of Downtown L.A. into a canvas for colorful projections. Now, after a 2022 reprise, it’s back for round three: On Saturday, October 5, DTLA will again come alive after dark thanks to site-specific installations from 10 artists—all viewable for free.
